It’s 6 weeks since we arrived in Boston, and we’re having so much fun meeting everyone who’s dropped by (THANK YOU ????????).
And because sharing is caring, we’re going to share a little piece of the beauties we’ve met so far. And so here we announce: our inaugural RISEmeetsBOSTON, where our quintessential Bostonites tell us a bit about themselves.
ANA ALARCON (@anagoesfit)
was one of the very first girls we started chatting with when we were getting ready to open our doors; we were sooo attracted to her bubbly personality (#girlcrush), infectious smile and her passion for health, fitness and plant-based eating. We would tell you more…but we’ll let her tell you in her words.
Naturally, we were pumped to have her come visit us for lash extensions. Today we’re lucky to have her share her perspective on Boston and what she does with her extra 17 minutes she gets to spend on NOT applying eye makeup 🙂
RISE BEAUTY STUDIO: In your own words, tell us who you are!
ANA ALARCON: This one is harder than you think! I’m a Boston-based blogger and fitness instructor, I’m a community junkie and matcha lover. I’m an introvert turned an extrovert, and love a good ice cream while watching Friends.
RBS: What’s your favorite thing about Boston?
AA: How walkable it is! I love that everything is within a 20 min walk, with amazing parks to walk through.
RBS: We’re kinda new to Boston. Where would you recommend we go for…the best sweat, a bite or for whatever it is your go-to activity is?
AA: I’m (obvi) bias here, but BTONE and Everybody Fights (I teach at both studios) but I also love yogaworks, I guess it depends on what you are in the mood for. I spend too much time at Dig Inn and grabbing smoothies at Jugos. A long walk around the Charles River would be my perfect activity.
RBS: What would we find you doing on a Tuesday afternoon?
AA: Probably working at a coffee shop. I don’t have wifi at home (on purpose) so I heavily rely on coffee shops and the library.
RBS: You visit us for lash extensions. Why do you love them?
AA: They make me look awake at 5am when I teach! Haha but honestly, I just love not wasting time putting mascara and the worst part, taking it off!
RBS: Women spend an average of 17 minutes a day on eye makeup. How do you spend your extra 17 minutes?
AA: Sleeping (haha) or enjoying my morning coffee/matcha.
